We encourage you to follow the social media accounts of our suppliers. As a creative community, they are often releasing new colourways. If, in your scrolling, you see a colourway, that we do not have in stock, we would be happy to add it to our next order. This includes bringing in other weights they may carry, as a special order.
Get Started with Lessons
If you’re like me, you learned to knit or crochet from a grandmother, aunt, or other “older” person. Instructions were very basic. I simply learned to knit. Just knit. No purl. No increase or decrease. No binding off. Just a basic cast on, and knit. When you ran out of yarn, you ripped it out, balled it up, and started again. Beyond that, I have been self taught.
Knitting and crocheting are no longer regarded as an “old person” activity. In fact, these activities are enjoyed by all demographics. Once learned, it is a very calming activity.
One-on-One lessons are offered, during shop hours, or by appointment after-hours. Lessons are $25 per hour, and must be booked in advance, by phone, email, or direct message on our social accounts. We would be happy to start you on the road to knitting or crocheting, or work on acquiring new skills, like cables, fair isle, or your first pair of socks.
Needles, Hooks, & Accessories
Whether you’re a beginner, or have been honing your chosen skills, for a while, we have the tools for you.
Currently, the shop stocks Aero, Chiaogoo, Clover Takumi, and Knitter’s Pride Nova needles and hooks.
Clover and Unique notions will meet most crafter’s needs.
A selection of ball winders, swifts, project bags, to name a few, are great options to treat yourself, or as gifts for the knitter or crocheter in your life.
